TTV Midway Village (11)
Pete Infliese told me about TTV (through the viewfinder). I checked out this large community of photographers online and really got inspired. I'll post pic's of my rig later but for now I'll show some of images from the "dry run". This is an afternoon at Rockfords Midway Village shot by Chris Sisson and myself. -
super sex (4)
I've been thinking a lot about Bill Burroughs and David Carson, not that they are completely related but bear with me. Burroughs's cut ups and acknowledgment of Dada's randomness of throwing two completely images together to form a new narrative is something that still resonates to me as an artist. David Carson's design work appeals to me on so many levels that narrowing a specific facet is tough. Fotographics does a great job of illuminating Carson's ability to use just a portion of a photograph. Blurry, over exposed with the right crop can suddenly illuminate a new composition. I suppose this series was a quick way to bolster my compositing skill while still representing two of my favorite artist. -
Dioramas (7)
these boxes were remnants form a past animation. they were just sitting in my basement collecting dust and mold. that's when they started to look interesting.
